  • Physical Requirements: Moderate physical fitness is recommended. Some days include walking tours, light hiking, and outdoor activities on uneven terrain.
  • Boat Excursions: All boat trips are operated by licensed providers and follow safety regulations. Safety equipment is available on board, and activities are conducted under professional supervision.
  • Travel Insurance & Requirements: Travel insurance is not included but highly recommended. Participants should verify visa and entry requirements prior to booking.
  • Included services: A professional guide, transportation, and all admission fees are covered in the price.

 


Cancellation & Return Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to departure: full refund minus a 5% administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made between 30–44 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure: no refund.
  • No refund will be provided for unused services or voluntary withdrawal during the tour.
  • Any changes made less than 7 days before the experience start date may not be accepted.
  • Certain tours require a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not met, clients will be offered an alternative date/experience or a full refund
  • If an experience is canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, clients will be offered an alternative date or an appropriate refund.

What To Expect

1

Day 1 – Arrival in Tirana, City Discovery & Cooking Class Experience

Please note: The activities planned for this day will take place depending on your arrival time at Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza. If your flight arrives earlier in the day, you will have more time to explore the city. For later arrivals, the program will be adjusted accordingly.

  • Arrival at Tirana International Airport
    Welcome to Albania! Upon arrival at Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza, you will be greeted by our company representative in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. After a warm
    welcome, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Tirana.
  • Hotel check-in & time to rest
    Upon arrival at the hotel, check in and take some time to relax after your journey. This free time allows you to settle in, refresh, and prepare for the first experiences of the tour.
  • Afternoon: Tirana city introduction
    Later in the afternoon, meet your guide and fellow travelers to begin an easy introductory exploration of Albania’s vibrant capital, Tirana. This relaxed walk offers a first glimpse into the city’s fascinating mix of history, culture, and colorful architecture.
  • During the visit you will discover some of Tirana’s most iconic landmarks:
    Skanderbeg Square – the heart of the city, surrounded by important cultural institutions and named after Albania’s national hero.
    Et’hem Bey Mosque – a beautiful 18th-century mosque famous for its detailed frescoes and historical importance.
    Tirana Pyramid – one of the most recognizable monuments in the city, representing an interesting chapter of Albania’s modern history.
  • Evening: Welcome dinner with the group – An Experience: “Cooking Class Tirana”
  • The cooking classes are an authentic cultural and gastronomic experience that allow visitors to discover traditional Albanian cuisine by preparing and enjoying some of the country’s most beloved recipes.
  • What’s Included:
    Hands-on cooking guided by our chef
    Traditional dishes such as:
    -Free-range chicken with përshesh
    -Savory byrek with cottage cheese and spinach or tomatoes with onions
    -Sheqerpare (traditional Albanian dessert)

Day 2 - Shkodër Visit

  • Breakfast at the hotel
    The day begins with breakfast at the hotel before departing for northern Albania. Today’s journey takes us toward the historic city of Shkodra, passing through scenic countryside while the guide shares insights into Albania’s culture, traditions, and history.
  • Stop in Krujë
    On the way to Shkodër, we stop in Krujë, a town rich in history and closely connected to Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg.
    We visit:
    Krujë Castle, the stronghold from which Skanderbeg led the resistance against the Ottoman Empire
    The Skanderbeg Museum, presenting the story of his life and military achievements
    • The traditional Ottoman bazaar, a charming market where artisans sell handmade crafts, rugs, and souvenirs
  • There will also be time to enjoy a traditional lunch in Krujë, tasting authentic Albanian cuisine at a local restaurant.
  • Arrival in Shkodër
    After lunch, we continue toward Shkodër, one of the oldest and most culturally important cities in Albania. Known for its rich history, artistic spirit, and proximity to beautiful natural landscapes, the city has long been a cultural center of northern Albania.
    Upon arrival, we check in at a hotel near the city center and take some time to relax.
  • Shkodra Lake and Shiroka
    In the afternoon, we head to Shkodra Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans, and visit the charming lakeside village of Shiroka. Here we enjoy a peaceful sunset boat ride, gliding across the calm waters while admiring the surrounding mountains and observing the diverse birdlife of the area.
    Afterward, we enjoy a dinner in Shiroka, featuring regional specialties, including the famous “Tava e Krapit,” a traditional baked carp dish from Lake Shkodra.
  • Overnight in Shkodër.
    Return to the hotel for an overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s adventures.

Day 3 - Exploring Theth National Park

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Departure to Theth National Park(approx. 2h drive). Stop at Qafë Thore Pass (1700m) for panoramic views (10–15 min). Theth, a picturesque mountain village located in the Albanian Alps, known for its unspoiled natural beauty, breathtaking views of rugged peaks, rivers, and traditional stone houses.
  • Arrival in Theth. Transfer to Nderlysaj. Guided hike (3.5 km, about 1hr) to the Blue Eye of Theth.  A stunning turquoise spring surrounded by lush greenery. The hike is moderate, suitable for nature lovers, and offers incredible photo opportunities.
  • Free time at the Blue Eye for photography, relaxation, or swimming (note: water is very cold in October).
  • Hike back to Nderlysaj (1h).
  • Lunch at a local restaurant. (Optional)
  • Visit Theth Church (1892) and the Lock-in Tower (Kulla e Ngujimit).
  • Guided hike (2.5 km, about 40 min) to Grunas Waterfall.
  • Free time at the waterfall.
  • Hike back (40 min).
  • Return to Theth center and transfer back to Shkodër.
  • Arrival in Shkodër, where hopefully everyone would have the strength to go out and experience Shkoder by night.  It is possible, subject to availability, to have dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight in Shkodër.

Day 4 - Komani lake and Shala river adventure

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Departure to Koman– Often called the “Albanian Fjords,” is a lake surrounded by dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters, making it one of Albania’s most scenic destinations.
  • Arrival in Koman. Embark on a scenic boat ride to “5 Stinet Resort.
  • 5 Stinet Resort” : await to welcome you and offer a peaceful environment, located along the beautiful Komani Lake with the most amazing shades of blue that melt with the green of the trees.
  • Arrival and kayaking activity at the resort. Those who prefer not to do kayaking, can enjoy the surroundings of the resort.
  • Traditional lunch with local drinks and homemade specialties (Optional).
  • Boat transfer to the Shala River for swimming, kayaking, and further exploration. There is also the possibility of doing zip line.
  • Return boat transfer from Shala River to Koman
  • Arrival in Shkodër. Free evening and overnight in Shkoder.

Day 5 - Jeep Safari to Cape of Rodon & exploration of historic sites

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
    The day begins with breakfast at the hotel followed by check-out. We depart from Shkodër and travel south toward the coastal area of Gjiri i Lalëzit, enjoying views of the Albanian countryside along the way.
  • Arrival at Gjiri i Lalëzit – Jeep Safari
    Upon arrival at Gjiri i Lalëzit, we meet the Jeep Safari team and prepare for an exciting off-road adventure. The journey continues with a 40-minute off-road drive through rural landscapes toward the historic Cape of Rodon.
  • Visit to Cape of Rodon
    Arrival at Cape of Rodon, a beautiful peninsula known for its natural scenery and historical significance. Here we visit several interesting landmarks including Skanderbeg’s Castle, the Church of St. Anthony, and remnants of communist-era military bunkers scattered along the coastline.
    We then enjoy a short walk (about 45–60 minutes) toward the castle and beach area, with time to explore, take photos, and admire the views of the Adriatic Sea.
  • Jeep adventure through Lalëz villages
    The Jeep Safari continues through the remote villages of the Lalëz area, offering a glimpse into local rural life and traditional landscapes. Along the way, there will be an opportunity to stop for lunch at a local restaurant or winery, where guests may also enjoy regional wine tasting (at own expense).
  • Return to Tirana
    After the Jeep adventure, we return to the meeting point and board our transportation to continue the journey back to Tirana.
  • Hotel check-in and overnight in Tirana.
    Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure in Albania’s vibrant capital.

Day 6 - Exploring Bogove' Waterfall & Osumi Canyon & Berat

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
    After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart from Tirana and travel toward the historic city of Berat. Upon arrival, we meet a local guide who will accompany us during today’s outdoor activities before continuing toward the nearby village of Bogovë.
  • Hike to Bogovë Waterfall
    Arrival in the village of Bogovë, where we begin a pleasant 20-minute hike through forested paths leading to the beautiful Bogovë Waterfall.
    Once there, we enjoy time to relax in the refreshing natural setting. Those who wish may take a swim in the cool waters below the waterfall (participants planning to swim are recommended to wear swimsuits from the morning).
    After some free time, we take a 15-minute return hike back to the minibus.
  • Exploring the Osumi Canyons
    We continue by minibus for about 30 minutes toward the impressive Osumi Canyons, a natural wonder formed over millions of years.
    Our first stop is at a panoramic viewpoint located about 150 meters above the river, offering spectacular views of the canyon and surrounding landscape. After time for photos, we take a short 5-minute drive to visit Abaz Aliu’s Footprint, an important local landmark.
    We then continue to Vrima e Nuses (“Bride’s Hole”), where the guide will share the fascinating legend connected to this place while we admire the canyon scenery.
  • Walk to Mulliri i Babait
    A short walk leads us to Mulliri i Babait (“Father’s Mill”), followed by another 20-minute walk to explore the surrounding canyon area and enjoy the peaceful natural environment.
    There will also be the option to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, featuring traditional dishes and regional specialties (optional).
  • Return to Berat
    In the afternoon, we return to Berat with an estimated arrival around 16:30. After hotel check-in, the rest of the evening is free to relax or explore the charming streets of the “City of a Thousand Windows.”
  • Overnight in Berat.

Day 7 - Rafting adventure and Gjirokastër exploration

  • Early check-out and departure from Berat
    The day begins with an early check-out from the hotel in Berat. Breakfast will be provided as a packed breakfast to enjoy during the journey as we travel south toward the town of Përmet and the Vjosa River, one of Europe’s last wild and free-flowing rivers.
  • Rafting on the Vjosa River
    Upon arrival at the rafting center, participants will be equipped with professional rafting gear and receive a full safety briefing from experienced guides. We then transfer to the starting point of the adventure.
  • The activity begins with an exciting two-hour rafting experience along the crystal-clear waters of the Vjosa River. During the trip there will be refreshing breaks where participants may swim or try rock jumping, surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape of southern Albania.
  • After completing the rafting route, we transfer back to the base where there will be time to shower and change.
  • There is also the option to enjoy a picnic lunch with fresh local products (optional – €14 per person).
  • Departure to Gjirokastër
    In the afternoon we depart for Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Stone City” because of its distinctive stone houses with slate roofs and historic architecture.
  • Upon arrival, we check in at the hotel.
  • Evening at leisure in the Stone City
    The evening is free to explore Gjirokastër’s historic center, including the charming old bazaar, the impressive Gjirokastër Castle, and the Ethnographic Museum, which offers insight into traditional life and culture in the region.
  • Overnight in Gjirokastër.

Day 8 - Depart from Gjirokastër to Zvërnec Island

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
    The day begins with breakfast at the hotel followed by check-out. We depart from Gjirokastër, enjoying scenic views of southern Albania as we travel toward the coastal region of Vlora and Zvërnec Island.
  • Visit to Zvërnec Island
    Arrival at Zvërnec Island, a peaceful destination located within the Narta Lagoon. A wooden bridge leads us through a pine forest to the small island where we visit the Monastery of St. Mary, a historic 13th-century Orthodox monastery set in a tranquil natural environment.
  • Lunch and Narta Lagoon exploration
    There will be time to enjoy a seafood lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). Those who prefer not to have lunch may take a walk around the area and return at the agreed meeting time.
  • Afterward, we explore the Narta Lagoon, known for its unique ecosystem, salt pans, and rich birdlife. The lagoon is an important habitat for many migratory bird species and offers beautiful coastal landscapes.
  • Return to Tirana
    In the afternoon, we depart for Tirana. Upon arrival, we check in at our hotel in the city center.
  • Evening in Tirana – Farewell Dinner
    Later in the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner, celebrating the end of our journey through Albania. It will be an opportunity to enjoy traditional Albanian cuisine once more while sharing memories of the experiences and places discovered during the tour.
  • Overnight in Tirana.

Day 9 - Return

As the trip comes to an end, guests may have the option to explore Tirana city center or enjoy some free time, depending on the schedule. For the final meal, indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Tirana. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Tirana International Airport, where the tour concludes, and guests can catch their flight home.
