Cancellation Policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 31 days before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 30 days before the experience’s start time, 50% of the total tour price will be refunded.
  • If you cancel less than 15 days before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 7 days before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

What To Expect

Day 1 – Arrival in Albania – Tirana Airport – Kruja – Shkoder

Arrival at Tirana International Airport. Meet and greet with your professional guide and driver.

Drive towards Shkodër (approx. 2 hrs).

Optional stop en route:
o Krujë – visit the historic Krujë Castle and the traditional Old Bazaar of Krujë.
Krujë is one of Albania’s most historic towns, set on a hillside beneath the imposing castle of Skanderbeg, the national hero. The city offers beautiful views over the surrounding landscape and a strong sense of Albania’s medieval heritage. Just below the castle lies the famous Old Bazaar, a charming cobblestone market dating back to the Ottoman era. Here, visitors can browse traditional handicrafts, carpets, antiques, and local artisan products—making it the perfect place to experience authentic Albanian culture and craftsmanship.

Continue to Shkodër.

Visit Rozafa Castle and Museum (~1 hr).
Rozafa Castle rises above Shkodër on a rocky hill with sweeping views over the Buna, Drin, and Kiri rivers. Steeped in legend and history, the castle’s ruins, walls, and courtyards tell the story of Illyrian, Roman, and Ottoman times. Inside, the small but well-organized museum presents archaeological finds, historical objects, and explanations about the fortress and the city, helping visitors better understand the importance of Rozafa through the centuries.

Day 2 – Cycling & Activities by Shkodra Lake

Breakfast at the hotel.

Collect bicycles and cycle from Shkodër to Shirokë, a charming lakeside village. Cycling is a traditional and very common activity in Shkodër—often called the “city of bicycles.” Locals of all ages use bikes daily, and the flat terrain makes it an enjoyable and authentic way to explore the area.

Activities at Lake Shkodra:
o Boat ride (opportunity to observe birdlife—the lake is known for pelicans and other migratory species).
o Kayaking.

Lunch by the lakeside featuring the local specialty Tavë Krapi (traditional baked carp dish).

Curiosity: Lake Shkodra is the largest lake in the Balkans, shared between Albania and Montenegro. It is a protected natural oasis, home to over 280 bird species and famous for its clear waters, water lilies, and rich biodiversity.

Afternoon free in Shkodër city center for leisure.

Overnight in Shkodër.

Day 3 – Exploring Theth

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure to Theth National Park (approx. 2 hrs).

Stop at Qafë Thore Pass (1,700 m) for panoramic views (10–15 min).

Theth Village: Theth is a picturesque mountain village in the Albanian Alps, known for its unspoiled natural beauty, breathtaking views of rugged peaks, crystal-clear rivers, and traditional stone houses.

Arrival in Theth. Transfer to Nderlysaj.

Guided hike (3.5 km, approx. 1 hr) to the Blue Eye of Theth.
A stunning turquoise spring surrounded by lush greenery. The hike is moderate and offers incredible photo opportunities.

Free time at the Blue Eye for photography, relaxation, or swimming (please note: the water is very cold in October).

Hike back to Nderlysaj (approx. 1 hr).

Lunch at Restaurant Alpet (included).

Visit Theth Church (1892) and the Lock-in Tower (Kulla e Ngujimit).

Guided hike (2.5 km, approx. 40 min) to Grunas Waterfall.

Free time at the waterfall.

Hike back (approx. 40 min).

Return to Theth center and transfer back to Shkodër.

Arrival in Shkodër. Hopefully everyone will still have the energy to go out and experience the city by night. Dinner at the hotel is possible, subject to availability.

Overnight in Shkodër.

Day 4 – Komani Lake & Shala River Adventure

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure to Lake Koman. Often called the “Albanian Fjords,” this spectacular lake is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters, making it one of Albania’s most scenic destinations.

Arrival in Koman. Boat transfer to the Shala River for swimming, kayaking, and exploration. There is also the possibility of experiencing a zip line over the river.

Free time at Shala River (approx. 2 hours) to relax and enjoy the pristine natural surroundings before continuing another scenic boat trip across Lake Koman toward 5 Stinet Resort, where breathtaking views and a traditional Albanian lunch await.

Arrival at the resort and traditional lunch featuring homemade local specialties.

Return boat transfer from 5 Stinet Resort to Koman.

Arrival in Shkodër.

Free evening and overnight in Shkodër.

Day 5 – Full Day Jeep Safari in Cape of Rodon

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Departure from Shkodër to Gjiri i Lalëzit.

Arrival at Gjiri i Lalëzit. Meet the Jeep Safari team and begin the off-road drive (approx. 40 min) toward the Cape of Rodon.

Arrival at Cape of Rodon, a peninsula rich in history and legend. Visit Skanderbeg’s Castle, the Church of St. Anthony, and the communist-era military bunkers scattered along the coastline.

Short walk (45–60 min) to the castle and beach area with time to explore and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Adriatic coast.

Continue the Jeep adventure through the remote villages of the Lalëz area. Lunch can be arranged at a local restaurant or at a regional winery, including wine tasting.

Return to the meeting point, board your transportation, and continue the journey to Tirana.

Hotel check-in and overnight in Tirana.

Day 6 – Exploring Bogovë Waterfall & Osumi Canyon – Berat

Breakfast and hotel check-out.

Departure from Tirana to Berat.

Meet your local guide for today’s activities and depart from Berat.

Arrival in Bogovë.

Begin a 20-minute hike to Bogovë Waterfall.
Enjoy a scenic walk through nature leading to this beautiful waterfall.

Free time at the waterfall (with the option to swim, weather permitting).

Return hike (approx. 15 minutes) back to the minibus.

Continue by minibus (approx. 30 minutes) to Osum Canyon.
Explore the spectacular canyon, formed over 3 million years ago, known for its dramatic cliffs and unique rock formations.

First stop at the highest viewpoint, standing approximately 150 meters above the river, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Short drive (5 minutes) to visit Abaz Aliu’s Footprint, a site linked to local legend and spiritual significance.

Continue to Vrima e Nuses (“Bride’s Hole”), where you will hear the fascinating legend of this natural formation while enjoying stunning canyon views.

Lunch at a local restaurant, featuring traditional dishes and regional specialties.

Departure back to Berat. Estimated arrival: 16:30.

Day 7 – Vjosa River Rafting & Benja Thermal Springs – Gjirokaster

Early departure from Tirana (06:00). Packed breakfast provided.

Drive to Përmet (approx. 3.5 hrs).

Arrival at the Vjosa River Rafting Center (09:30).
o Safety briefing and rafting gear provision.
o 2-hour rafting adventure with professional instructors, including stops for swimming and optional rock jumping.

Optional picnic lunch by the river.

Visit the Benja Thermal Baths (approx. 2 hrs).
Relax in the natural sulfur-rich thermal pools surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Continue to Gjirokastër (approx. 1.5 hrs).**

Day 8 – Discover Gjirokaster (UNESCO)

Guided visit to Gjirokastër highlights:

o Gjirokastër Castle – One of the largest and most impressive fortresses in the Balkans, dramatically positioned above the city. The castle offers panoramic views over the Drino Valley and houses the National Arms Museum, featuring an extensive collection of weapons from different historical periods, as well as military artifacts and a captured U.S. Air Force plane from the Cold War era.

o Old Bazaar – The vibrant heart of the city, lined with traditional stone buildings, artisan workshops, handicraft stores, and small cafés. It’s the perfect place to discover local souvenirs, handmade carpets, silverwork, and traditional Albanian products while experiencing the authentic atmosphere of the town.

o Historic Old Town – A UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its distinctive Ottoman-style stone houses with wooden balconies and slate roofs. Often called the “City of Stone,” Gjirokastër showcases remarkable examples of 18th–19th century architecture, reflecting the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

Day 9 – Himare & Porto Palermo

Drive from Gjirokastër to Himarë (approx. 2 hrs), enjoying scenic views as you approach the stunning Albanian Riviera.

3-hour water taxi experience along the Albanian Riviera, with scenic stops at:

o Filikuri Beach – A hidden gem accessible mainly by boat, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs, offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere.

o Llaman Beach – A beautiful pebble beach surrounded by rocky hills and deep blue waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing in an unspoiled setting.

o Submarine Tunnel (Porto Palermo Tunnel) – A fascinating Cold War–era military structure carved into the rock, once used to shelter submarines and military vessels during Albania’s communist period.

o Porto Palermo Bay – A picturesque, sheltered bay famous for its calm waters and historical significance.

Gjipe Beach is one of the most spectacular beaches in Albania, located between high cliffs at the mouth of Gjipe Canyon. Known for its wild beauty and turquoise waters, it offers a unique and tranquil setting for an unforgettable camping night experience under the stars.

Day 10 – Grama Bay Boat Tour

Depart from Gjipe Beach by water taxi to begin another spectacular boat excursion along the Albanian Riviera.

5-hour boat tour featuring stops at:

o Livadhi Beach – A sandy beach popular for swimming and sunbathing, with clear blue waters and a relaxed atmosphere.

o Aquarium Beach – Known for its calm, transparent waters, perfect for snorkeling and observing marine life.

Day 11 – Llogara National Park Hike – Vlore

Breakfast and hotel check-out.

Drive to Vlorë (approx. 2 hrs).

Arrival at Llogara National Park.
First stop at the Information Center to learn about the protected area, its ecological importance, rich flora, and diverse fauna, including rare birds, wild goats, and endemic plants.

Guided hike in Llogara National Park (recommended for ages 10+).
Begin the hike from the Information Center and follow a scenic trail through dense forest, which often feels like a small jungle with towering pines and aromatic herbs.

Hike duration: Approximately 4–5 hours, depending on the group’s pace.

Trail highlight: Deep Neck viewpoint – a stunning panorama overlooking the Ionian Sea and Saint Andrew Bay, considered one of the most impressive vistas in southern Albania.

Return along the same scenic path back to the starting point.

Day 12 – Zvërnec Island & Narta Lagoon – Tirana

Zvërnec Island is a small, picturesque island connected to the mainland by a long wooden bridge. Covered in tall pine trees and surrounded by the calm waters of the Narta Lagoon, it offers a peaceful and atmospheric setting. At its heart lies the beautifully preserved St. Mary’s Monastery, a 13th-century Byzantine church known for its stone architecture, tranquil courtyard, and spiritual ambiance—one of the region’s most iconic religious landmarks.

Time for lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying fresh regional specialties.

Afternoon guided visit to Narta Lagoon, an important natural habitat renowned for its diverse ecosystem, migratory birdlife including flamingos and herons, and traditional salt pans still in use today.

Drive to Tirana (approx. 2.5 hrs).
